Things I wish were different: Screw off mop head, handle should be washed by hand.

This BBQ mop works fine, but I wish it were totally dishwasherable, and I do find the removable mop head a bit awkward.

I'd like it better if it were all one piece, and just needed to be tossed in the dishwasher without being disassembled.

I suppose if you were handy/crafty, and you wanted a longer handle, you could just fashion one from a dowel of the right size, so in that respect, it would be useful.

Guess I don't barbecue often enough to really see the benefits of this design.

This is a pretty simple tool and since it's BBQ everyone has their opinions about what is best. I hunted this one down because I prefer a mop to a brush and the fiber ones are not easy to clean. I have used it a few times now and I like this one. The silicone strands are beaded to hold more sauce and when I am done, I throw it in the dishwasher and it comes out like new. The ead screws off if you just want to wash that. If you are a big time BBQ person it is probably smaller then you you would like, but for family cookouts it works fine. The handle and head is plastic, a plus for the dishwasher, but not as aesthetic for a true pitmaster.
